Glossary
The terms you’ll meet across the Studio Console, Client Portal, and this help centre.
Content & production
- Production — one full run of the pipeline for a single brief, including every generated asset and the final deliverables.
- Brief — a production request: topic/subject, project type, avatar(s), and options. The pipeline starts from the brief.
- Project type — the kind of output (short-form video, long-form video, podcast, article, book…). It sets which pipeline steps run.
- Content theme — the subject space the brief generator works within (e.g. “tech news”, “recipes”).
- Pipeline step — one of the ~15 automated stages a production moves through (brief → narrative → script → images → voice → video → variants → packaging). See Production pipeline.
- Deliverable — a final, packaged per-platform asset (e.g. the 9:16 TikTok video, the 16:9 LinkedIn video, the podcast MP3).
- Asset — an individual piece produced along the way (a sourced/generated image, a voiceover clip, captions).
- Attribution package — the aggregated sources, licences and credits for everything used in a production.
Avatars & voices
- Avatar — a persona used in productions: a likeness (on-screen face) plus a voice variant.
- Voice variant — one specific TTS voice (provider + accent + character), e.g. ElevenLabs — en-GB Yorkshire — calm.
- Accent (taxonomy) — a precise regional label for a voice, from country level (e.g.
es-ES) down to sub-regional (e.g.es-ES-x-andalucia-sevilla). - Trait facet — a filterable voice attribute: accent, age, gender, style, use-case, tags, colour.
People & roles
- Operator — a Studio Console user who produces content (
AccountOperator). - Customer — a Client Portal user who reviews and approves content (
CustomerAdministrator/CustomerViewer). - Platform administrator — manages shared platform infrastructure across all accounts (
PlatformAdministrator). - Account — the workspace a set of productions and avatars belongs to.
- Customer (entity) — the organisation a set of accounts belongs to; billing rolls up here.
Pipeline & operations
- Loop — a stage of the wider system: Loop 1 produces content, Loop 2 distributes it, later loops handle engagement, optimisation and promotion.
- Distribution — publishing approved content to your connected channels (Loop 2).
- Gate — a check a production must pass before it can advance (e.g. the final gate before distribution).
- Quality score — a per-step measure of output quality, compared against your account’s quality floor.
- Dead-letter queue (DLQ) — where a permanently-failed pipeline message is parked for an operator to inspect and resubmit.
- Idempotency — the property that re-running a step that already completed has no harmful effect (so retries are safe).
Billing & access
- Token allowance — the budgeted AI-call units included with your subscription each month.
- Top-up / extra capacity — additional allowance you can buy when you run low.
- Tier — your subscription level (Creator / Pro / Atelier).
- RLS (row-level security) — the database mechanism that isolates each account’s data so one account can never read another’s.
